Cavekid and Dog - Character Design Challenge

My favorite paleolithic story is about the 26,000 year old footprints from a child and their dog (which was very nearly a wolf) walking through a cave in what would one day be France.
So here's Cavekid and their ever-present guard and companion, Dog.
They've been friends for a long, long time.
